This shot was taken from the bridge made famous in the David Lean film "The Bridge on the River Kwai" based on the Pierre Boulle novel. The bridge actually spans the Mae Klong river, and was misidentified in the book. These motor boats act as ferries across the river, and some are even loaded with trinkets and fruit to sell to the people touring the river in larger sight-seeing boats. The color of the boat contrasted against the green water, and the intricate shadow of the bridge caught my eye. The young man catching a nap completes the shot.
