as we shortly approach another anniversary of this tragic day, this piece reminds me that those who came before me gave up everything so i can have a decent life, for that i thank all ww2 vets, this moment brough america in the war and ultimately triumph later on.

Although I know a lot of history...I don't understand war. That being said, this image is increadibly powerful. At first, I thought it was an abstract of a native chief's head in profile.
