sheep shearing

a bit of a challange this was... if the subject is more complicated,i go more tonal... the farmer was happy,for me to paint him,embarrassing the sheep,as long as i didn't show his bold patch ,so i gave him a healthy dose of my hair! lucky him! ,oil on panel 8x12"painted on location in wales

Really like this genre' piece...! Been there.... used to have sheep but took them elsewhere for shearing. How nice that the farmer got to borrow your shaggy locks :-) !
