Shadows on the Teche is an Antebellum home on Teche Bayou in New Iberia, Louisiana. It was the temporary home of James Audobon as he painted his famous "Birds of American." Audobon felt at home in Louisiana since he was a creole himself and spoke perfect French and English. I had a lot of trouble with the right side of the house which is not particularly successful. Sometimes the magic's there, sometimes it's not. This painting goes to my urologist for my prostate biopsy. Most of the physicians here will only buy cheesy reproduction. Sad commentary considering their privileged financial situations.
