Help Yourself

This painting was done to commemorate a life of farming. My father farmed for over 60 years. I've called this painting "Help Yourself", intended both as an offer to share in the rewards of that labour but also as counsel to develop the independence needed to exist in this world.

The "Zoom" version is a mosaic that this painting is now a piece of. It was a call for submissions for a 16" x 16" square to be painted as part of a mosaic put together in joint celebration of the centennials of both Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The website for the project is www.muralmosaic.com. Each painting can be clicked on and viewed individually. My board is number 164.(In the shoulder of the girl on the left)

This turned out to be a wonderful project and has been quite highly publicized here.

The mural will be mounted on a building in a city that straddles the border of the two provinces, once it has toured the two provinces.
