Meaning, I'm either going to or coming from somewhere else in this piece. I started with watercolor, then I used some color pencil and gel pen and finished using some acrylic. It's on some heavier Canson paper that's supposed to take mixed media and, boy, did I mix 'em up. It measures 10 by 7 inches, BTW. Original Jones Art got a bit out of his comfort zone today in northwest Austin, Texas.

You've certainly expanded your palette and material range, Charles/ All works fine!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Nikolay, for those encouraging words. If the world is going to end in a whimper, I might as well try to go out with a bang. This to paraphrase a certain guy we've both been 'typing' about. Take care. :)

Very cool Charles . Has a looser look , strong lines and rich color . It's a classic : )

Artist Reply: After working on it so long I could hardly get out of the chair, I decided to upload it, Dave. It's not bad as a first attempt with the thicker paper and the watercolor beginning gave it that looser feel, I think. Also, I watched an art 'influencer' channel on YouTube yesterday that convinced me that artists like us have more to say than those stuck in the web of art-speak waiting to have their juices sucked out. :)

SO GOOD TO SEE HIM IN COLORS. FUN TO USE ANY MEDIUM AT HAND THAT MAKES WHAT WE WANT.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Joanie! Yeah, he's something of a rainbow, isn't he? The usual paper I do my color drawings on is much too thin for anything that uses liquid so I may try some more on the thicker paper. Hope all is good with you today. :)

Wow Charles the colors are so bold. The detail involved makes the colors even more striking.

Artist Reply: The scanner sort of screwed with the color on the dark side of the face, John, but it's pretty close overall. I want to start painting on a regular basis again and I thought this would be a good exercise even if it is on paper. Thanks for the nice comment. :)
