Jurassic Hunting Tactics

A pair of Allosaurus fragilis attack a pair of Seismosaurus hallorum. This artwork was completed from November 2004 through February 2005 with a combination of graphite, charcoal, and carbon pencil on a 11x14 illustration board. Specifically, the dinosaurs were completed in charcoal (mostly 2B and 4B), the trees in carbon (mostly B through 4B) and the ferns and background in graphite. I was fortunate to receive help from established paleoartist, Scott Hartman, in addition to direction from my art teacher, Don Phillips. It appeared in the magazine entitled Prehistoric Times issue 71.

Wonderful Anthony, but the raptors hips look a little strange, almost as if they come straight out of his spine without any hip bones?
