It's difficult to find balance in this world when it's more like a pinball game than a quest for self betterment. It's even more difficult for the unclassified hybrids who come from the shadows to sun themselves on occasion. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art says the sun's too hot right now in northwest Austin, Texas. The shadows are just right. PS: For those of you who think 'balance' only refers to standing on two feet and walking about, there is also emotional and intellectual balance which, to my mind, is much more important than the first.

Artist Reply: August is usually our hottest month but September can be almost as bad, Dave. Staying in the shade means staying indoors for me. I'm even putting my 3D projects on hold for a bit. Ha. :)
