Yes, another oldie from the 70's. This one is dated August 1976. It was framed for a number of years and so yellowed and, if you look carefully, you can see some foxing. Image area is 7.75 by 6 inches. I guess I've always been interested in what's beneath the surface. Original Jones Art still thinks the more you know the more you see and the more you see the more there is. But I'm a bit nutty here in northwest Austin, Texas. PS: Dead center you can see one of my infamous Flying Mysteries.

wonderful

Artist Reply: I usually expect more wordage from a published poet but one nice word trumps a lot of empty ones, Eric. Even in HS I was writing poetry and drawing, though I looked at myself as a poet who drew. Now in my 70's, I seldom write verse. Decades back I lost sight of my core audience.. My current work I feel is just a continuation and crystallization of my lifelong quest for something different in an increasingly homogeneous world. Hope you are well. Thanks! :)

Sincerely dream like and although that's a pretty much overused term, it fits a true description in my book : )

Artist Reply: Thanks, Dave! Yeah, it still comes through as being a bit on the unusual side, I think. I did do nice portraits of Lord Byron and Percy Shelley, I think. I found I could pretty much dup anything I saw but I found the process tiresome and so started going for a flow of consciousness just to see what I could come up with. Anyway, that's my story and I sticking to it. :)

I see little bit of Dali influence there Charles right on I like this Picture;D

Artist Reply: Thanks, Ray! I never mind having Salvador's name evoked in a comment of my work. Hope you had a good day. :)
