Bruges, the Venice of the north

With the numerous small canals that cross the city, and the many bridges, Bruges is called the Venice of the North and, in the course of history, also had many similarities with this Italian city. With the historic center, which has remained largely intact, even during the last world wars, the city is on the list of the Unesco World Heritage List. The numerous museums, religious buildings, the Belfry, the beguinage, but also the restaurants, souvenir shops and certainly the renowned Bruges lace, make this city a world famous tourist attraction. Fascinating place to visit with its canals and history. Good watercolor and boat going by with people looking at buildings is a nice touch.
