Creative Spirit Oil Portrait

This is a portrait with colors that capture the creative spirit of the person with images that appeared and were revealed through imagination. The artist creates but where inspiration comes from is a mystery, and is a surprise to the artist. Does the subconscious create along with the artist? Does creation always express itself through created works? Mind, matter, spirit working in harmony.

I am sorry if I offended you...like your art,,,,i will keep my comments only on your fine work....

Artist Reply: I am not offended. Well, maybe at first I was. Your comment was surprising, but thought provoking, I try not to over think because it is easy to get lost in the forest of the mind.

Linda, you will wear yourself down with unending speculation of from whence comes the creative spark....to reach a peace within one must acknowledge that their creative spark is not a self conceived entity but instead it is a special gift from our Creator the Lord God. In spite of all this talk of art and sundry speculations, I would like to say--this is a good work--I love it!

Artist Reply: I like that you love this painting, but I don't like being lectured to from someone sitting on their lofty pedestal. I like to think and speculate and try to understand as much as I am capable of doing so. We are created in the image of God and all create in their own way, and not necessarily works of art. Inspiration starts the creative process and directs it into something tangible like going on a voyage and you never know where it will end. This painting just kind of flowed and was full of surprises for me.

Beautiful!

Artist Reply: Thank you. This painting means a lot to me tapping into the creative spirit. Felt like my subconscious mind was guiding me.
