Transcend

48 x 48 acrylic airbrush and brush on canvas. Wanting to do a koi painting with a more 'Zen/Surreal' style and influence, led me to paint this piece. It is the first of a series I am doing of surreal images of the koi swimming through a traditional 'dry' japanese garden. The patterns made in the gravel, and the stones traditionally represent islands in the oceans or the planets in space. The Koi, is continuing it's journey beyond.

Great movement!! trancending the moment, vanishing into the eternal. Great job Terry.

This is beautiful. I love the combination of the still garden with moving fish in water. Peaceful.

Wonderfully imaginative, and authentic down to the Japanese Maple leaf tucked into the piece. Your work is serene and balanced. ZEN :)
