Sisters

Digital photograph....with the background smudged out. These two sisters are half Colville Indian and half Mexican and they dance in a Mexican dance troupe. This picture was taken on their debut in their brand new dresses...for the first time dancing in public here in Omak at the park. Here they are just standing around waiting to dance when I tried to sneak a candid shot. The sister on the left was totally unaware of me and my camera....but, as you can see her little sister spotted me and gave me a flick of her skirt and her flirty grin. It was a spur of the moment shot that I couldn't have planned. These girls are also going to be modeling for me for future paintings in both Native and Mexican traditional dress. I can't wait...these girls are special!! Don't you agree?
