An experiment of sorts. I used the new bolder gel pen with a smaller format to see how it would turn out. I think there are pluses and minuses but the pluses win out by a slight margin. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art says it's the little things that give life flavor here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: Thanks for the feedback, Dave! Over the years, I've tested about every pen out there, gel and otherwise. And I've tested different paper. I don't like slick and need some tooth. My ideal paper was some I found years ago at Toys R Us but can't find it anymore. It was super toothy and just the right thickness. Oh well. Hope you are staying warm and cheerful up your way. :)
