Night..."
People just love to run their
hands across
the surface of this tactile
diptych!
(Small)
Diptych of 6"x6" x 1-3/8"
each with profiled edges (15x15 x
2 1/2 cm)
I LOVE HOW THE
DRAPING OF THE SILK
REPRESENTS THE WAVES...
There is some sheet music incorporated
in the
moon (gloss gel).
Therefor it will be
stored
in my collage/painting
gallery.
(Top, bottom and middle sides are painted in matte black.)
Finished with a gloss medium varnish (which is still workable after applying).
Doesn't need a frame.
Mixed media used:
caparol binder (resin binder glue),
soft wood shavings (excelsior), crushed
egg
shells,
silk, cheese cloth.
All worked in
with
different mediums to conserve the
pieces.
Many shades of blue, raw and burnt
umber,
black,
acra gold , acra orange,
iridescent gold and silver,
and
some copper tones, yellow ocher in
acrylics.
(All Liquitex and/or
Golden.)
