Ropes Reverse

In this, I applied metallic acrylic paint; let it dry and then painted black acrylic paint over it all. I then took a pallet knife and cut out the design you see. Reverse Creation! In a way, it is like the Cuna Indian Mola where they put layers of cloth together and cut out and sew to bring out the different colors in their design. Reverse Applique. I hope that you enjoy! THIS IS SOLD!

This looks like something I used to do when I was little. We would use different coloured crayons on paper and then cover it with black crayon. We would then take a pin and remove some of the black to make a design. Mine was never this intricate or good but it was fun;)) Very well done Sharon!!!!

I agree this is very well done Sharon. Do you color this out and plan it prior to attempting this. I can not see this coming together with a lot of preplaning on your part.
