Closest i have ever been to an elk. He came right up to the tram I was in and he posed and decided to chew on the top of the tram lol. He had shed his horns and they were growing back. He is a part of the Dogwood Canyon landscape near Branson Missouri a gorgeous place with waterfalls and caves that shows the beauty of nature.

Neat shots,Sandra! At first I thought it was some type of strange goat! I see he has that moth-eaten appearance that the bison had at Yellowstone... losing their winter coat. He was really close to you... neat shot!Rusty Woodward-Gladdish 29 Apr 2010
