On a street in london sometime during the reign of Queen Victoria, two people stop to exchange news. A man sits on his handcart in the middle of the street and converses with a woman on the side walk who is carrying an emense sack. In the background visable through the haze from coal smoke and fog, one can see the dome of some great building. The conversation has brough a lady out of a nearby building to listen in. Three girl children, one holding a baby, sitting on the sidewalk are also listening in. Oil on canvas $600.00
