This has become one of my most popular oil paintings. It always gains attention. I think it is thought provoking because viewers wonder why the Giraffe is looking back and often project their own thoughts into the image. I wanted to keep it simple and use colors so that you could "feel the heat." This 16 x 20 oil painting includes a complimentary worm wood frame. Email for photos of the painting framed. Please visit my official website: www.hawaiiartplus.com NOTE: the original painting is now SOLD!

THOUGHT PROVOKING indeed Jerome. What a great painting.... Height and excellent eyesight enable giraffes to keep an eye on each other from far away. Did you know that each time a giraffe lifts up its neck it picks up 550 pounds? Some more facts: The name giraffe is derived from the Arab word "Xirapha," which means "the one who walks very fast." It is 5.5 meters tall while its shoulders stand at a height of 2.5 meters. Despite the length of its neck, it has the same number of cervical vertebrae that a human has. ~Love and Light, OLGA
