This is a fascinating piece. There is a tactile feel of character about every board. The linear patterning in the background adds more interest and tends to come forward, flattening the picture plane. This adds another dimension of subtelty. You are a true master of drawing.
Oh, wow! This is the type of work that I won a scholorship on. I once did a very detailed pen and ink in highschool of a "forgotton house" and it won high aclaim and ended up on tour. I never did receive it back.... or payment. I am really fast becoming a fan of yours and lovin' this piece for sure. Great detail, that I love. Oh, yeah, I see the spirits haunt.
What a great house :D I love all the different ways you shaded it, really gives the piece a lot of character! You're a fantastic artist ^_^ And thank you for the comment on my flowers :)
thanks for the note Sher :) i always love coming to your gallery to see that i missed out an image i didn't see before. :) i love this - it looks very old because of the colouring; its really great. it looks like a very spooky house too. am glad i don't live near a house like that! great work Sher. :)
very nice work. You are indeed very talented! Thank you for the compliment on my work. The girl in the photo is my daughter, Tia. She isn't very confident in her looks so I shall tell her what you said. I try to get her to realize that she is beautiful but to no avail. It will make her day!
