Tears from Heaven

© 2009 Armando Salas.- I chose "Raindrops" as title this early morning. Just right now I know the sad news: Lelo's mother passed away. Lelo (nickname) is one of my readers/fans ( daily El Correo Gallego), one of the bunch of friends that were at the meeting-homage in Santiago de Compostela on May 16.- This image is my tribute to Lelo's mother. Rest in peace.

Beautiful tribute Armando. Years ago I attended a funeral service for a lady of Hawaiian decent. When we left the church after her funeral it began to sprinkle rain drops. Her family was so full of job because they said it meant that it represented tears of joy from heaven that she had reached her destiny. I never forgot that and this reminded me of it. So well done.

Artist Reply: Thank you for your story, Lorna. Do you know? this morning, when I uploaded the image, my first title was this one: "Tears from Heaven" but then I thought: "Why? No reason for sadness" and I chose "Raindrops" as title. Few minutes later I read the news about my friend's mother.

The wild group of your Spanish fans, the "refugees" who look for shelter+love+humour under your wings, day after day, have found your beautiful lilies the best tribute in the memory of Lelo´s dear mother. Rest in peace. MIRANDA
