Armando Salas sent me this beauty; his wonderful addition/creation of the cover of my mother's (Adelia De Vore) book "Dede Has Her Tonsils Out". My mother and 2 other registered nurses wrote this book for children to read before they have their tonsils out. It explains to them exactly what to expect. And it was found that the children who read this before having their tonsils out were better patients and less fearful. My dear friend, Armando Salas, a very important artist, put his wonderful touch on the cover. The bottom photo is the original front cover; they wrote it in 1956. I hope that you enjoy!!!!

Well, what can I say, dear Sharon? The one who drew the bottom image was a great artist; the upper one must improve his skils :-) --- I read about Mother's Day here and on few images more. Our Mother's Day was on May, 3. Looks like it's different for different countries although I think Mother's Day is each and every day because they deserve it.--- Just right now I take my Babylon because don't know the meaning of "tonsils". OMG! Creepy! I had my tonsils out when I was 18 years old. Permanent infection that began to affect my heart (tachyicardia). My tonsils were as stones, the anesthesia went outside again and again and this means... I suffered ALL the pain during 45 minutes. It was terrible, I still remember those scissors and pincers :-(geoff cooper 09 May 2009
