I must admit this is not the way you usually portray your cats. I think it is the eyes to me they are not full of the life you usually add to them, there is something not of this world about them.
Artist Reply: Thank you so very much, Don. There are many looks to cat eyes, and Smoky's pupils were these slits in the photo I had taken. So I painted HER that way. All my other cat faces had larger pupils, because that was the way they were in Real life when I shot the photo I used. Soooo I think that is what is different about Smoky's eyes. She is definitely a little darling.
