I took a small plane from Talkeetna to Mt. McKinley. The plane should have landed on a glacier, but the weather was too severe and visibility too low. What I found interesting is that the glacier was not white ice but brown and black ice.
Very nice shots, and very interesting. I also flew over the Columbia glacier in Alaska and it was all white but spotted with brown, which is dirt. Bravo Sharon :)
That is a fantastic shot of the Ice. It is such a massive amount. Not knowing the dark was still ice I thought it showed how the glacier was melting but the close up shows how wrong my perspective was. Thank you for explaining that. Great
