Schoolgirls

This is a composite of Australian schoolgirls. I made it rain, gave some of them sox and/or coats and umbrellas, and re-invented the background and sidewalk! Photographers don't often have such wonderful options. Oil on canvas

Lovely, lovely painting. So beautifully executed. Shame the image is not a little larger.

Artist Reply: Thank you, Cathy, for your continuing nice comments on my work. I, too, wish that this were larger and better photography, but since it has been sold, there is not much I can do about it. Sigh!

Great picture. Each girl has their own personality and response to her surroundings. Good understanding of body language!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Diana. Don't you feel rather sorry for the girl at the extreme right? She seems a bit left out and non communicative.

This takes me back to my school girl days. well done.

Artist Reply: Thank you, Emily. I often wish that I had experienced a more "disciplined" school experience!

As you have proven throughout your portfolio, people don't always have to be painted from a frontal view to make an interesting painting and composition.

Finely, something really artistic. Thank you thank you. pfjones
