I think I see some women dancing in the back-ground. You've demonstrated great skill here with your acrylics. The instrument and musician are especially impressive. Great work Annette!
I love both the movement and the emotion of this piece! The brightness of the man's face, the magic details of the instrument, and the brilliant background join together to convey the effect of music, and the man's joy in playing it. Virtuoso work!
I enjoy the way you show the viewer only enough of the details to give a clear understanding of the image, that it doesn't bother my minds-eye for the lack of, but it fills my mind with music and joy and a true heartfelt painting, you are a wonderous painter Annette!!
Annette this is just brilliant, I love it!!! Everything about it. The composition, the colours, the mood you have created, the whimsical and musical strokes of the background brush work!! EXCELLENT!
You've capture the harmony and movement of instrument, sound, muscle, and facial expression at its peak synchronicity. Positioning the player off-center allows for the music notes to flow into the background like smoke in a club.
Annette, this is wonderful! I love the expression on his face! That is so amazing! I can't draw or paint at all and I envy people with this wonderful talent!
Brava!
This is simply stunning Annette, to me the figure is almost a ghost. He seems to blend into the back ground, The the expressive brush work and the feeling of depth, visually stunning, my "PIC OF THE DAY"
this is really wonderful painting annette .... great expression caught on his face..... i´ll soon look into ur other work .. sorry a bit away from internet these days :) Shashvat Doorwar

JUST OUTSTANDING MASTER PEICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maria murphy (I am absent for a while)
Beautiful Annette! The Bandonion or BANDONEÓN, ... the very soul of tango- used during the wedding of our Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and his Argentinean wife Maxima Zorreguieta. --------So distinctive is its sound, that even those unfamiliar with tango music would recognize it at once! It’s sound and capability is much richer than the accordion.
The first bandoneón (invented around 1845) simply showed up -like all the other immigrants– in Buenos Aires, alone, and virtually unloved, practically unknown back in the land of its birth, Germany, (where it was intended to play church music).
Unlike the piano accordion, the bandoneón does not have keyboards, but has buttons on both sides. The Argentinean bandoneón is a two voice instrument (each note being doubled at the superior octave) with 71 buttons. Each button plays a different note depending on whether the bellows is opened or closed.
annette, what a wonderful piece, ,I can just feel his intensity and joy at playing, he is really one with the music...and I like the shadowy figure in background.-Suzi
Hello Annette... Brilliant composition. Excellent expression of this musician ... The background really match so well to this all scene.. Well. i'm sure we all can hear the sound of bandoneon or Accordion .
Oh this is really good Anette............the face in particular.........he is completely absorbed in his music. I recently did a painting of an accordionist (not yet on ArtWanted) and I never realised how difficult it was to paint instruments........you've done a great job :o))
