With Such Beautiful combinations of colors, Your Landscapes,They are Splendid, Sunny and Spectacular! You Have Remarkable Abilities!

Artist Reply: Thank you very much, John. It took a lot of tries to get this particular light house the way I wanted it, but it is one of my favorites. Thanks for looking and for your nice comments.

Joan I really like this what size is it? All of your dolls and your paintings are so wonderful, you have some great talent! what happened to that trickling down to the yongest brother?

Artist Reply: Thanks, Pat. I think the painting is an 18x24. Right now, it shares space with another sea painting above my fireplace. Thanks for checking out my stuff. Steve could have talent that he hasn`t explored. You never know. To check out Warren`s portfolio, search his name on the Artwanted main page. He has some incredible photos up.

Beautiful!!!!!Masterful brushwork,Joan!!!Perfection!!!,Dee&David Jobes :):)

Artist Reply: Thank you so much! This one is kind of special to me because it was so long in the works. A couple of false starts, and a small painting of it from a distance, and finally this piece.

Joan, I've been checking out some of your paintings and wow, they've inspired me to keep trying. Never thought growing up that I'd be looking up to my little sister

Artist Reply: Warren, if you really are interested in learning to paint, you should see what classes are available in your area. I started out with a correspondence course, and then some fine arts courses in Flint. Finding other artists to work with is very helpful. Mostly have fun with it. Your photographs already show that you have a real talent for composition, so you have a good start.

a beauty this painting Joan!

Artist Reply: Thank you, Annette. It is especially satifying to get it done and be happy with the results, since it was a long time coming. I started this scene more than a year ago, and gave up on it. I started this version with a fresh canvas, my own photgraphs of it, and a book of Michigan lighthouses by John Penrod, HIs photos were very similar to mine, but so much more detail it made it much easier to see the finer points of the lighthouse that my camera did not pick up.
