One of my favorites because I really like the way that you used light to guide my eye from the distant hills, back to the luscious greens of the trees in front of me.
Ken, finally I found you, I love this piece a lot, it's stunning, love the colors of the mountains and background, somhow it reminded me of Paul Gougen works, there is certain abstract flavour about this piece, what do you think?
Artist Reply: Hi Julia,
Here the elevation is about 6000 ft. above sea level, and coloring can be very clear, luminous.
Some paintings seem complete without alot of surface variations, and I guess it gives them an abstract or simpler look.
In this painting I was interested mainly in how the coloring varied in different light and shade masses, and across spatial recession.
