Hello Ann
I agree with AG.........this painting shows the divine qualities of true spirirtual art - bringing the angelic relm & the ememental kingdom into the inner universe of man. Far, far better than "bricks"....less they be molded and fired in a kiln by one's own hand, they will mean little to the soul. Tina Diemer
Artist Reply: Many thanks Tina for your precious words helping to combat what the London art critic Brian Sewell calls 'the Serota Tendency' (Nicholas Serota is currently director of Tate Modern)
If Tracey Emin had picked the cotton under the heat of the sun, spun it onto a spool and woven the sheets on a loom, her 'bed' exhibit would have had a better opportunity to the considered as art.
I wonder...did Damien Hurst breed or even feed the calf, did he muck out its stable and look after the cow before he produced his dead half cow?
Fabulous acrylic, Ann! Splendid composition! Agree with anomymous!!!
Artist Reply: Thank you SO much Alberto.

Art, if it be anything, must be a quest of the spirit, a quest which is conducted through the practice of producing outer visible manifestations of inner, invisible, realizations. It is a magic instrument for sensing the qualities of life - those qualities which lie outside the realm of proof and precise measurement. Here lies its very virtue, and its great importance in an age like ours with its scientific “stance” and its materialistic viewpoints. Inner invisible realizations, sex and death have a beauty that transcends the material, yet the "Bricks", "The Bed" and "The Pickled Cow"..... all three choke the soul in an asthmatic convulsion, resulting in a future public needing tranquillisers to sedate them from the pain of seeing their hard earned taxes squandered on f-art. These ‘exhibits’ are not inner invisible realizations but opportunist bandwagon exhibitionists, exploiting societies decay. But it is not art, it is simply an artful exploitation of a given moment in a sad piece of politics. This painting is at the spiritual heart of art.

Beautiful stylisation of forms=the realism of the pearl is a marvelous complement to the more abstract forms. I love the fiery tipped wings.Louis Vuittonet 14 Dec 2007
