Separating the Herd

There is a strength in numbers. It has always been that way. All creatures seek safety. A safety that can be found in coming together to unite in goals and purpose. All great movements throughout history have been bound up with the enormity of many people seeking the safe and secure refuge that is in numbers. Gandhi knew this. A humble man whose non-violent protest broke the back of oppression, violence and brute force. By amassing together with a unified objective humankind can move any obstacle in their path. History is filled with such great men and women who, with the help of a motivated populace, surmounted great evils and cruel tyrannies. It still remains that way today. The means to secure our safety and happiness lies within our own hands, it is in our grasp to combat the forces that would separate and destroy us. The opportunity to defeat any enemy is provided for by the enemy themselves. Every problem holds within itself the very solution that can resolve it. Any philosophy, belief or dogma that separates us from ourselves is inherently immoral, unethical and wrong. If as a species we are to continue to thrive we must put aside our differences, the differences that would separate us, and seek a common ground that we all can live on together. visionary imagist "Joey"

love this one and again agree with what you have said. I was just reading about the poor Gorillas all beiing killed to make charcoal and, then read an article about all the dogs in China being killed in front of their owners,it is so sad -what people can do. It is really hard to understand . Im always trying to figure out how humans can be so cruel to animals and each other.

Artist Reply: L.A.: the world can at times seem perplexing yet there are those who make life worth living and traveling through. i believe that you are one of those who makes the journey worth it. thank you for sharing with me. it is deeply appreciated.

Here is to putting our differences aside! Wonderful, inspiring words and of course wonderful painting and point of view! A little Zebra Totem info for you! ( I love sending this information to you because you have such a close relationship with all animals)! The Zebra Zebras are members of the horse family. They live in small family groups consisting of a stallion and several mares with their foals. They are noted for mixing with antelope herds which offer the Antelopes protection from predators because of the zebras alertness. Those with this medicine often take on the role of a kind hearted protector of friends and family. They are excellent therapists and serve others with genuine compassion. Each zebra has a unique stripe pattern similar to a persons fingerprint. This gives the zebra an individual identity. For those with this totem maintaining ones individuality while harmoniously interacting socially and personally is one of the messages it carries. Compromise in personal relationships can be challenging. Zebras enjoy challenge because they know that all challenges are opportunities for growth. Questioning reality as well as illusion is common for zebra medicine people. An over analyzing intellect can be a problem for some with this totem. For others the imagination needs to be awakened. The zebras stripped patterns of black on white or white on black suggests that what you see is not always what you get. Occult knowledge both seen and unseen, dimensional shifts, new journeys and worldly endeavors are all part of its medicine. Zebras are master magicians using the energy of light and dark to shift realities and expand a persons consciousness. They help us look beyond our preconceived ideas as they guide us into the mystery and magic of the unseen. Seeking balance in all that they do the zebra is surefooteded as it stands with confidence in the middle of opposing forces and teaches those with this totem similar skills. When the zebra appears it indicates a time of change in one or more areas of our life. Hidden knowledge is about to be revealed. It asks us to stand strong, develop trust and flow with the rhythm of a new creation.

Joey, united we stand...but there will aways be people to sabotage this, they have their own selfish goals and they do not want to see that sharing a goal is so much better. There will always be predators who want to take advantage of moments of weakness.. Divide and rule is their motto.

Artist Reply: Gabrielle: Yes, it is so. The world has had it's terrible share of these monstrous predators. We must remain united as much as possible against these forces that would divide us. Thanks for the comments and deep insights.

Joey : Great message through this beautiful and striking painting again !! It's very true Joey that we are here because we think !! What if we use our will power to explore The Universe rather than fighting and hating each other. This slows the pace of mankind. I like that you use Zebra --- It has stripes of black & white, that symbolises the unity of color, mankind, etc etc. Excellent Art Joey !!

Artist Reply: mahesh: Your art is an inspiration to me as well. I find your work to be powerful and profound. I am also happy that you enjoy my efforts at my paintings. Thank you my friend.

Anneke Hut 15 Oct 2007

Like these beautiful zebras on the painting humans are also often dispersed by an enemy that's entering their environment. It can lead to varied actions, like taking side with the enemy, uniting of the species or get even lost of the herd. These animals act on instinct but with humans it's up to every individual to decide what to do, that's what makes it so difficult. It takes great leaders to guide us.

Artist Reply: Anneke: Your comment has touched me deeply. Thank you for allowing me to contribute in my small way to the what I am called to do. Thanks for sharing.
