Surreal Celestial Lotus

Every flower contains within it the promise of a new generation. Such is the way of the universe. Nothing is wasted. Everything is reborn again. The main purpose of the flower's existence is that the flower produce the next generation. A lineage that begins in a distant almost forgotten past. Into the present where the flower's progeny become it's extension into a future yet unknown. The seed that falls into the darkness of the earth never gets to see the flower's beauty. The seed will die as a seed but in it's death it becomes a plant. So the seed never really perishes it just changes it's form and grows to fruition. Repeating this process over and over again to fill our world with the message of beauty, love and devotion. Our Beloved has sent this message of hope and rebirth to us in these little packages of blossoms, color and fragrance to reveal to us that we never really die. Our Beloved assures us through the solemnity of creation that we too will never cease. The proof of this promise is in Nature. And to confirm this covenant we have with our Beloved all we need to do is to go and sow some seeds into the earth and watch our salvation and redemption grow. visionary imagist "Joey"

Joey, a very beautiful painted flower. I like the subtile softness of the brushstrokes. The lotus flower is a magical flower and the symbol of pureness and perfection. You captured that very well.

Artist Reply: Gabrielle: The lotus has a deep history throughout many cultures. I am glad that you noticed my artwork. In the summer my backyard, a protected wetlands area, is filled with these beautiful flowers. Thanks again.
