This is Mr. Dodger a cougar residing at the North Carolina Zoo after being rescued from an abandoned warehouse in Detroit. This drawing won Best of Show, Wildlife Art at the PA State Taxidermy Convention in March 2007 .

Holy cow Marlene this is just beyond amazing pencil work. It is photorealistic... and you just started drawing?? Phenomenal. I had just received your kind words when you were in my port. In response...I had pulled this picture up when the phone rang. While talking to my Son....my eyes just kept going over and over THIS picture........ While talking...my mind kept saying...WHO IS this marvelous photographer? NO WAY! I am amazed at your ability to sketch. The detail in the cougar's fur, the look in the eyes, the tree bark. Good heavens this is good. Does Eyal who commented on 10-1-07, realize that this is a SKETCH and not a photograph? I am dumbfounded by the people on here who see great art like this and feel that it is their responsibility to critique it.
