This was my first public mural which started me on a mural adventure painting very large instead of on 8x10 canvases. This journey has been a continual one for me as an artist to try new things and reach beyond anything I thought I could never do. This mural was started in the fall of 2004. The mural was painted in oil on 4x6' canvases then hung together. So I think I'll dedicate this month to murals I have painted, and although these murals are not of the gargantuan wonderful styles of some of the masters we see today, for me it's been a challenge and a privilege to walk in the steps of muralists today. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did painting them. :-)
