Zero to Infinity

"Quo Vadis? In order to expand one's horizons one must learn how to ride. One also must set a course. And most importantly follow their own star. There are so many false "guru's", "soothsayers" and "snake oil salesmen" trying to sell their wares that life can become an avalanche of perfidy. False words that can bury a person's soul into a cold and frozen existence. Make them numb, so to speak, to the truth. "Follow me", they say, "I know the way". When I hear these words I usually say to myself "I'm not lost! Why should I follow you?" Their egocentric self-confidence alarms me. It's a warning from my inner compass that alerts me to their chicanery. Their platitudinous comments usually involve the giving of money for some narcissistic building project or some other phantasm of their mind which they proclaim that the world needs. When really all the world needs to do is climb aboard their own individual spiritual vehicles and leave the devious prophets "in the dust". visionary imagist "Joey"

Wonderful piece Joey!! Such a confidence and freedom to it...a strength. The sky is so beautiful and even without the numbers to tell me I can see you're hitting a buck forty there easy ;)

Artist Reply: Laurie: Easily a buck forty(ha-ha). In my younger days I did try to go that fast. Now I just paint a buck forty rather than to try and do it, much, much safer for me and the rest of society. I enjoy your outlook on life and your sense of humor as well, not to mention your wonderful and beautiful art. Thanks for stopping by and bringing a smile to my face.

Joey, you should write and illustrate a book. Your words are poetic and so true, and they correspond perfectly with your art. I've said it b4, I'll say it again. MASTERFUL.

Artist Reply: Janet: I am actually in the process of doing just that. I hope that you are correct in that my words and art will be accepted in a book form. We shall see. But, in the meantime , it is artful friends such as yourself that help this humble artists to dream his dreams. Thank you for being you and for being there. I do so love your art and value your opinions!!

Yoe, there will always be people who try to con people with their false idea's and who will give un unbalanced soul the feeling that if they follow them all will be right here on earth and in the life afterwards. But, indeed, it all comes down to get money out of their pockets for their own purposes. Beware of false prophets... Each of us has their own way to go even if it will be a lonely way as you symbolize so excellently in this beautiful painting.

Artist Reply: Gabrielle: I have always "danced to the beat of a different drum". My rebellious attitude has carried me all these years and I probably not going to change. I am glad that you stop by and share with me. I value and deeply respect your opinions. I look forward to our next encounter. Again thanks!!

Well I can relate to part of this,I had a yamaha 100 for a year, untill I bought my first old coupe bmw.but the feeling of freedom on a bike is great.Your still close to nature. I love this painting .When I see this It says to me Freedom, choose your own path.!

Artist Reply: Maria: Many, many years ago in a galaxy far, far away I used to ride my motorcycle. It was a different time for me and I was quite the rebel. I was pretty wild back then. Now I just paint my "wildness". It's much safer that way for me and society too. I am glad that you enjoy my work as I do yours. Thanks again!!
