Afternoon Tea

Painted on location in Burgundy, France, from the very spot where I dined daily. Just to the right was in incredible vista overlook revealing a breathtaking lush valley below. Traditional hand-made, gold metal leaf over wood, linen lined frame.

superb atmosphere!

Artist Reply: Thanks Annette. This location had plenty of atmosphere. Atop a hillside inn where I stayed with my workshop students in France. The air was crisp and delicate for painting.

I LOVE YOUR MASTERY OF IMPRESSIONISM.

Artist Reply: Thank you Emily, I had to work hard at Impressionism as I used to paint very tight and realistic. Paintings got tired and stilted-looking. So I pulled-back, loosened-up to try and bring life back into the work.
