BROKEN DREAMS©
Personally I'm very pleased with the results of my last work!
Unfortunately I don't get the colors right on this photograph
(In reality it's much richer of color!)
The excerpt shows you how I built up my collage/painting.
The second close up shows how I incorporated the gold into the sheet music.
Contemporary abstract.
Collage/painting on wooden panel.
Acrylics in rich earth tones with gold and copper metallic features.
Measurements: 18'x24' (45.7x61.0 cm)
The Walnut/Golden Frame gives this collage/painting an extra finishing touch.
MATERIALS:
Vintage Sheet Music (Bach, Thanks Ileen!), tissue paper (for texture) and modeling paste to soften down the sheet music.
Archival and Museum-Grade acid free material for maximum longevity.

Beautiful and interesting. I love how you've integrated the violin with the sheet music. You've actually made the violin seem like a glass to look through. Great effect. The strut (don't remember the word) is so convincing...Love the texture of it. The whole piece is wonderful. I couldn't hear the music though...my firewall prevents many things. Did you write it? As a painting / collage this is quite beautiful [and thank you for sharing your method for producing it], unfortunately, I am a klutz when it comes to using my computer to the full and have no idea how to hear the music that accompanys it; as they say though 'There's more than one way of killing a cat', so I played my CD of one of Bachs pieces while looking at your painting, [as I don't read music it was most likely the wrong piece] and found that they did blend well, nevertheless, as with all great art - however produced - niether the music, or your painting needed the others support. :) Gwen.Robin Foss 16 Jul 2007
