A Matter Of Perspective

This is an original gel pen drawing hand-tinted with color pencils. It measures 10 3/4 by 12 3/16 inches, though here you only see 8 3/4 by 10 3/16. It is built like a box with sides that measure 1 inch deep. I had envisioned it in a clear close fitting acrylic box frame with a built-in mechanism whereby it very slowly revolved in a clockwise direction. Original Jones Art creating itself in Austin, Texas.

This reminds me a little of a John Lennon picture, where he is walking down some stairs going into his head. Your is an interesting abstract piece, though i feel its a little confused in what it is relaying to the viewer, the shapes are cool, so to is the line work, but it's quite a jumble. It's true art doesn't have to say anything. But, with your skills in this style I think you have it within yourself to be bolder about what you are trying to convey to the viewer. You've definately got it going on in this style. Good work, explore the possibilities. Radfax

Love the way, how you have drawn all the perspectives together. As always Fabulous work, Charles!

Artist Reply: Yes, I had fun playing with this one and pulled out all the stops. For the longest time, I didn't know exactly where to sign it. :) Thanks for your generous comment.

Most Exellent Abstract, Charles!!!!!!!!

Artist Reply: I've always thought that, once framed, it would be insteresting to have a slow yet continuous 360 degree rotation of the piece on the wall. Thanks for your comment, Chris!

Interesting how you've incorporated all these faces/bodies.

Artist Reply: It's just a matter of perspective, Nancy. ;) Here you will see my 'Flying Mystery' suggested not once, but twice. It also lurked in the shadows of 'Self-Portrait1.' Thanks so much for your comment.
