Greenwater Horse Camp

This is one of our favorite spots on one of our favorite trails....a great place for lunch!! The camp is a little over 3 mi. from the Greenwater Lakes trailhead. Before arriving here you have followed the Greenwater River upstream and past both lakes. You could continue for miles in a couple of directions to more lakes and a couple of mountain tops. This is known as the Norse Peak Wilderness. We have been beyond here a few times but only reached Lost Lake once....5 miles from here. I think 16 miles round trip is the farthest we have gone in one day and still got home for dinner....really tired!!! The 1st photo is taken from the camp, under the old-growth Cedars. The 2nd photo is from the small beach looking back towards the camp. Thanks so much for stopping by!!! I hope you can relax here for a minute, maybe you can hear the river and smell the big Cedars...two of my favorite things about this place!! :)
