My original idea for this painting was to use an older girl as the model. After giving it some thought I asked a neighbor's daughter to pose in her back yard on a rock that was similar to the one where I found the ducks. Combining the two different settings allowed me to create this painting. Painting the water in this scene was certainly a challenge, to say the least.
