RULES ARE MEANT 2 B BROKEN ....THIS IS ONE OF 5 COMMISION PIECES IM WORKING ON AT THE MOMENT.... THIS IS THE FIRST ONE FINISHED MY HEAD IS MELTING WITH THESE WORKS AS THE CLIENT IS A BATCHELOR AND ASKED ME FOR WAIT FOR IT .....MAN ART ...NO I NEVER HEARD OF IT EITHER ...BUT I KINDA KNEW WAT HE MEANT ...HE DIDND WANT GIRLY GIRLY ART IF THATS THE RITE WAY 2 PUT IT ...HIS HOBBIE IS EXPLORING CAVES IN GOD FORSAKEN PLACES.... HIS BRIEF ON COLOURS WAS EARTY TONES WITH GLIMMERS OF BLUES AND GREENS ...OK I CAN DO THAT I THOUGHT ...NO PROBLEM ..STARTED WORK ON THEM 2 WEEKS AGO.... AND SHOWED HIM THE FIRST FINISHED PIECE ..NOW BEAR IN MIND I SHUD HAVE THE WHOLE LOT FINISHED BY NOW ....ITS NOT ME HE SAID TO FEMINE ..OK I SAID TO HIM NO PROBLEM WE CAN GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD ....NEXT ONE FINISHED I SHOWED HIM ...THINKING HE WILL LIKE THIS ....THIS IS MAN ART ....NO HE SAID TO MASCULINE ..NOW AT THIS STAGE IM PULLING MY HAIR OUT .CAUSE IF I HAD OF PULLED HIS ID HAVE PULLED HIS HEAD OFF HAHA ...YEH REALLY I WAS STRESSED OUT BIG TIME ....OK I SAID NICLY WE CAN GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD ...AND THIS IS THE FINISHED PIECE ... IN HIS WORDS ...THE BOMB ...NOW I DIDND NO WETHER THE BOMB WAS GUD OR BAD SO I REMAINED SILENT ...AFTER A FEW SECONDS I SAID TO MYSELF BINGO HE OOHHED AND AAAAHHHED I LUV IT HE SAID .. WILL U HAVE THE OTHER WORK READY BY NEXT WEEK AS IM HAVING A HOUSEWARMING PARTY AND I WANT EVERYTING TO BE PERFECT ...I SAID TO HIM IL CALL U AND I RAN OUT THE DOOR AS FAST AS MY LEGS CUD GO ...JUMPED IN TO MY JEEP AND LET OUT AN UNMERCIFUL SCREAM AND DROVE HOME WAT AM I AT NOW ...YEP U GUESSED HIS NEXT PIECE ...I KNOW I NEED A BRAIN TRANSPLANT ANYONE ELSE WUD HAVE PAINTED HIM BLACK AND BLUE HAHA ....ANYWAY THIS PIECE OF MAN ART HAHA...MEASURES 60X120X4CM THE MEDIA USED IS OIL AND LOTS OF GLAZES CHOOSE UR FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION WEN U CHOOSE FASHION 4 WALLS A.K.A. A really interesting piece. It has a lot of personality. I can understand your frustration though. My, I don't know how you kept your wits about you when dealing with him. But, its a wonderful abstract. And I am so glad for you that it all turned out well. I had a similar experience with the last graphics job I did.
