An original folk art design created in acrylics by artist Amy Jordan. Frida is the bomb! She was such a wonderful, wild, and free individual... its no wonder the art world loves her. All rights reserved.
Artist Reply: Dee, you just made my day with your happy energy and enthusiasm. Thanks for the wonderful comments about my Frida folk art. Happy St. Patrick's Day, lass!
Back before having to retire, I reveiwed a portfolio of similar work. The artist had her work on refrigerator magnets, post cards, note pads and plates. She was looking to find representation in print. We had to advise her that she was in a niche market which meant that her best bet was to promote her work on a site. While this is a good place to get insights from your peers and maybe sell a few prints, you should consider a site of your own. Be careful, if you decide to pursue this idea especially if you have little or no web experience. Look over some of the folk art on the auction place. Some of these people have their own sites look them over. Because of the specific niche you are in you should be selling your art instead of just showing it!
Artist Reply: Stanley, that is both the most wonderful and helpful comments I've ever received. I have so many questions, but I have been trying to find a place to host my site. Thank you thank you!!
Amy, you have painted one of my favorite artist's. She was such a lovely person and withstood much in her life and the creativity flowed from her pain. A Lovely image. Miguel
Artist Reply: I agree with you, Miguel. She was a lovely person, so wild and free in her spirit! I admire that quality in people, and I wish more of us beings on Earth were like that. Thank you for your comments!!
