I love the extra tints of color you've added to the sea portion of this piece. It really does look like a photograph of a seascape, but certainly has all the qualities of a great painting.

This is a wonderful example of the marriage of realism and abstraction. The leaden sky hangs over the ocean as the eye drifts off into the horizon. We are totally freed from any figurative elements, but it still retains the feel of a landscape. It evokes the minimalist art of the 70's, but with more emotion.
