Dat is nog te vinden in Nederland! Hier in Noorwegen waar ik nu woon tref je dat nog best veel aan. Prachtige foto maar ook de overigen, heerlijk om naar te kijken Joke!

Yes, it looks like a toilet. These were common in the South at one time. Fortunately, they are a thing of the past, even in poor Louisiana.

I can remember the awful smell just by looking after so many years... Something to thing about seriously... many million human beings still use worst than that everyday in 2007... many millions don't even live like our pets, don't eat every week don't have a quiet place to sleep... human evolution is realy slow... this is not far back in human evolution... we are so narrow minded... thank you for sharing! Bravo!

A number of the larger parks still have these at various intervals along the hiking trails. In late summer you can smell when you are getting close!

Yes, I remember this:-))) At my grandparents house. It was in the first floor, just above the stable. I remember the "electricy" too: a lamp working with carbide and water. OMG! I'm a Neanderthal!!!:-)))
