Building Cumulus in Sepia

These building cumulus were actually piling up pretty quick but only to get knocked back down time after time. We watched these fields for about an hour before finally realizing it wasn't going to produce anything.

Artist Reply: Ha! Sometimes I wish. This was pretty darn cool to watch. I think this was taken at 70mm, not too long of a focal length. We were pretty close to the base.
