Imagine a life with no childhood memories, good or bad, of the people responsible for your existence. . . we older people need to keep, for posterity, the memories of the people places and events we hold close, for our young and their young. . .
Hellooooo‘… Joanna!!!! I like the abstract quality of this one; additionally I am a fool for B&W as I find it insanely difficult to shoot! Hmmm’ I won’t therapyrize’ it because I may be wrong...Very, heartfelt and moving.
Great shot rich in memories that can "elude" us if we don't treasure them as part of our life and the history of our country and the world. If we don't understand the past, we are compeled to repeat too many errors that we would benefit greatly from by understanding our personal and collective history as human beings. Too many people want to run from the truth and reality of what your represents that could lead us out of the abyss and possibly be able to "imagine" what John Lennon wrote about so poignantly in his song of the same title. I would love to image our planet with no war and people and children living in harmony and peace. Your photo is so personal and special since it is the place of your father's birth;very affecting and poignant reflecting your deep capacity for attachment and love that so unfortunately is too scarce today and is a prerequisite for imagining global unity to prevent hate, the bedrock of destruction to the memories you so rightly believe are critical for the prosperity of our children's safety on this war torn planet.
