i love this image, i do have a question and a comment first the comment i think this is more expressionism rather than abstract, i can see an abstract fee lto this but i do see more of an expressive technique. now my question watercolor is my achilles heel with painting, i usually end up going straight from the tube rather than using the water ( the way i rendered the nyc watercolor painting ) anyway how do you stay traditional with the feel and still get a textured feel, when I try this the paint gets thinner and thinner and it drives me mad a little to the point where i am afraid of watercolor painting ( yet watercolor paintings are some of my favorites to look at ) great painting !!!!!!!!!!Steve Newport 28 Mar 2007

Olle, Wat ben je toch waanzinnig creatief! Prachtig werk, ook al die andere doeken. De vrouw van Olga haar petekind heeft een heel veel gelijkende roos geschilderd, maar met minder eigen expressie dan jij. Hangt nu boven hun bed. Wordt dat ook de plaats van dit doek? Natuurlijk ook jij en Fred van harte gefeliciteerd met de verloving van Eveline. Een mijlpaal in haar en jullie leven. Jullie zullen wel apetrots zijn geweest op de dagzelve. Ik dacht dat het dit weekend was, op de uitnodiging las ik dat het alweer een week geleden is. Het was zeker een groot festijn zoals jij al verwachtte. Hebben jullie contact met Matt zijn ouders? Ev en Matt hebben wij vanmiddag per mail gefeliciteerd. Zij zullen nu wel druk zijn met de verhuizing. Wanneer start Eveline in haar nieuwe job? Wij zijn ons aan het voorbereiden voor ons vertrek naar Azië over ruim 10 dagen. Een heerlijk vooruitzicht, zal wel gek zijn Kerst te vieren in de tropen. Sabine zit nu in Malaysia in de jungel en meldt zich geregeld via mail/site. Zij heeft het top samen met vriendin Sophie. Op 21 dec. zien wij haar in Jakarta, het vriendje van Sophie komt ook die kant op en reizen dan onafhankelijk van ons ook via de hoogtepunten van Java naar Bali. Wel Oud en Nieuw vieren wij met hen. Wij gaan nu eten. ik heb kip in de oven gedaan, dat weet je best nog wel van vroeger! Het geurt al heerlijk in huis. Ik wens jullie lekker nagenieten toe van het verlovingsfeest.
