How absolutely super, Anneke, even for you! It is soooo much fun : D besides being so well crafted and so beautifully colored! Who else could imagine such a gorgeous array of colors as those trees and bushes?!!!! And how imaginative the whole wagon bit. Is that witch with the great posture driving that ancient tractor intending to drive that so awesomely old tractor that's pulling the ancient wagon full of jack-o-lanterns right up the lovely brick steps? How imaginative a creation! It reminds me how often you get so many details into one scene without it seeming crowded or belabored at all. If anything beside awe and wonder, there can be such subtle humor to a sharp and knowing eye -- as with one of your travel posters and others! So I've happily said more than enough for now. Except for "thank you" for this and so many other happy and touching paintings. If I may, I'd like to just mention a comparison of your dealing with everyday people and their lives, work, and homes with 1) numerous 17th Century Dutch painters, and their traditions and 2) with the popular 20th Century American recorder of "average" American middle-class and rural people and stereotypical scenes, Norman Rockwell. His talent and insight were much ridiculed by "serious, accomplished" painters, but recently are becoming re-evaluated and praised as artistic accomplishments. Anybody who disagrees with that assessment should go check him out on the web or a bookstore! Peace, etc. Bruce

Artist Reply: Oh yeah, I love Rockwell! I'd like to invite everyone who ridicules such a fine artist to take up a brush and reproduce one of Rockwell's paintings. The same goes for Kinkade! I had a hard time painting the tractor, but it was much fun to make this, used the knife for the trees, I'm glad you like it! Haha I bet the witch will just sway her magic wand and fly up the stairs with wagon and all! Thanks for your lovely comment, Bruce, as always it's truly appreciated!
