Seljukid Pendulum

Artist from Istanbul. Works with symbols of ancient Anatolian civilizations including Hittite, Hellenistic, Byzantine, Seljukid and Ottoman heritage. Acrylic and natural paints on natural paper. She graduated from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Academy , Istanbul, Stage, Costume Design and Visual Arts Department. She opened her first personal exhibition in The Archeological Museums of Istanbul with the title " Zeitgeist - The Spirit of Time". She is concerned with the concept of "Time", as perceived by different cultures.

Artist Reply: Seljukid Empire lived in Anatolia before Ottomans in the same period with the Byzantines in the west, and Egyptian Mameluks in the south. They were destroyed by the Mongolians coming from the East. They spoke Turkish.
