Brazilian Fisherman

I felt this Brazilian fisherman, whom I discovered in a tourist book, would make an interesting study... he looked so deep in thought, perhaps thinking of his days at sea.I imagine he would have many interesting stories to tell. I chose a loose scribble technique for this 9 by 12 inch portrait.

Hi Kathryn, I just happened to "stumble across" your gallery, quite by accident, and a very pleasant accident I might add ! Your work is outstanding, and I totally ENVY each and every one of your portraits, and can only wish that I could capture the quality of work that I have seen here ! I have tried a few portraits here and there, and sheepishly returned to my ships and water ! p.s. I am also very enamoured with the Native American people, and have done a lot of research on our local tribe the Wampanoags. I wish I could take lessons from you ! However, I must admit, your "Fisherman" is one of my favorites.
