1st Charles Bargue Study

This was my first assignment in school, and that was to copy an old masters drawing perfectly. This one honestly took me over two months to complete. we couldn't use tracing paper, rather we had to use a string to measure everything out... (to the millimeter)And the shading had to be perfectly smooth. It was definitely frustrating in the beginning, But the end result is worth it. Ive already done three, each being more advanced than the other. I have one more before I move on to the next medium (charcoal) After which, I will finally get to study oil Painting. So, I hope you like these. I have more paintings on the way which will be done soon.

Very "decorative" and correct. Your line is strong and perfect.

yes, your current work definitely echoes the grandeur and polish of the classics. Jean Leon Gerome would be proud.
